Congratulations to Literacy NRV's newest GED graduate, Jesia!! Jesia overcame many obstacles to achieving this goal, including caring for 3 kids, co-running a cleaning business, and working a part-time job. She took GED preparation classes at New River Community College and also worked with LNRV tutor Jennifer to master the math portion of the exam. She passed all 4 sections with flying colors! "My tutor went above and beyond to teach me in a way I could understand."
"I wanted my GED to prove to myself that I could do it. I felt so insecure about myself, now I have that belief in myself that I can do what I want to do, and this will give me more opportunities for employment," said Jesia.
