Literacy NRV is thrilled to introduce Once Upon a Race: A Fantastical 5K—the magical next chapter of our beloved storybook-themed fundraiser! Formerly known as Potter in the Park, this newly imagined race invites you to journey through five enchanting realms inspired by some of your favorite fantasy worlds:
Wizarding World
Fairy Tale Forest
Yellow Brick Road
Middle-Earth Meadow
Camp Half-Blood
As our community grows, so does our commitment to making everyone feel welcome. By expanding the magic beyond a single story, we’re creating space for all readers and dreamers to see themselves in the adventure. We can’t wait for you to race through fairy tale forests, wizarding worlds, and more—all in support of adult literacy in the New River Valley!
