Student Application
(English Learners Only)

Instructional services are provided online or in person in public locations throughout the New River Valley.

For English language learners, we offer English classes based on your assessed English reading, writing, speaking, and listening level. Priority is given to lower-level English language learners. Classes are offered at various times throughout the New River Valley.

New English students and U.S. Citizenship Exam preparation students must complete an application and attend a student orientation assessment. Come to the Literacy NRV office on Mondays, between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM, for an English assessment. You will enroll in a class after completing an application and assessment. If you cannot come on Mondays, call to make an appointment: (540) 382-7262.

Our semester-based English classes begin in February, June, and September.
